Dr. Sherrow is a strong advocate of the private practice of medicine and his patients. He believes that physicians, not insurance companies, should be the ultimate decider of what care patients receive. He ensures that patients receive same-day urgent care appointments with fast and accurate results.

Internal Medicine

Dr. Keith Sherrow graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY in Albany in 1983. He earned his medical degree in 1987 from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his training in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital, an affiliate of SUNY Downstate.

After residency training, Dr. Sherrow was an emergency medicine and urgent care physician for FHP, a staff model HMO in Southern California. He continued his work in this field for several years until 1994, when the Northridge earthquake hit Los Angeles. He then traveled for 2 years around the US, working in rural and inner-city practices in physician shortage regions of the country.

Career Began

In 1997, Dr. Sherrow was hired by Saint Peter's University Hospital of New Brunswick to establish the Senior Health Center in Monroe Township, NJ. The practice, now called the Comprehensive Care Group of Monroe, is currently one of the largest multi-specialty groups in Central Jersey.

In July 2000, Dr. Sherrow founded Monroe Internal Medicine, conveniently located in the Concordia Shopping Center. The practice offers internal medicine, geriatrics, urgent care, and cardiology services.

Mentor to Physicians

Over the years, Dr. Sherrow has mentored numerous physicians in the community, helping them establish their practices. Dr. Sherrow has taught medical students and Nurse practitioner throughout his career and has received recognition from universities for his excellence and generosity service.

In his spare time, Dr. Sherrow pursues an interest in photography, physical fitness, and literature.
